Have an amazing art experience using an ancient method of painting and create your own unique work.
Join experienced encaustic artist Linden for private garden parties to play with encaustic paint. She will guide you through this amazing painting process with hot wax, using an arsenal of art artillery: the torch, the heat gun, the hot iron and the x-acto blade. After the class, you'll have your own unique and vibrant painting. The class will include a brief talk about the history of encaustics and how this medium has had a dynamic resurgence, even here in Detroit. Class fee is $70, which includes the lecture, demonstration, instruction, light refreshments and materials to make your own painting.
